Lissa also introduced a thrilling game called Rocks Bingo that all attendees could enjoy throughout the event. Participants’ swag bags at check-in had an unblacked-out bingo card containing words or phrases people would be talking about during the event. After an attendee had their bingo card completely blacked out, they were able to bring the card to the Advice Local exhibitor table to redeem it to win the chance to win a prize.

The prizes offered through Advice Local included Google Home Minis portable wireless chargers, Google stickers, Google notepads, and a pen. With enough prizes for each conference participant, each person could take home some prize.

The Local Search Day Expert Panel, which coordinator Bernadette Coleman moderated – began the day. The panelists included Jason Channell of Imaginuity, Demetrios Pousatis from Brand Signal, and Mike Stewart of rising Local.

The panel discussion focused on increasing the visibility of your website on search engines by using organic, the local pack, and Google Maps, with a particular focus on what’s working at the moment. One of the tips offered by the panelists was to steer clear of over-optimization in the title tags of a company’s site if that company’s keyword is in the name.

The speaker planned for Tarsha Hearns to be forced to cancel her appearance due to an emergency at the last minute, and Lissa took over to fill the void with a talk on how to apply E-A-T to create a Google Business Profile (GBP). Credibility, authority, and expertise are the key factors to gain the attention of search engines in 2022. Lissa presented the steps to building out a comprehensive GBP. One important aspect that often is overlooked is the significance of attributes such as “LGBTQ-friendly,” “women-owned,” and the like. These arguments can help a local company.

Three experts from rocks talks. presenters

When we got to mid-morning, it was time to start Rocks Talks. It was time for the Rocks Talks presentations. Rocks Talks presentations are fast-paced and are designed to get straight to the main point. They are among the most popular conferences yearly; the anticipation was high.

The first speaker was Elizabeth McCormick, a motivational speaker and an ex- U.S. Army helicopter pilot. Elizabeth delivered her energetic, engaging, interactive style and a message of “practice creates permanent” as she taught audience members to fly during her engaging talk. This is the session for you if you have difficulty focusing in addition to procrastination or accountability.

Sanjay Jenkins (connect on LinkedIn) from Scale Patterns followed to discuss the art of email marketing. Sanjay created a three-step email marketing strategy that will perform better than ever in 2022.

  2. Segment
  3. Split Test

If you’ve been contemplating what frequency you should be sending emails to your new customers, this presentation included the “four email messages over six days” strategy that you could apply to your business.

Ultimately, the best-selling author, Elayna Gonzalez (known as The Positive Mom), demonstrated how to engage viewers with emotional stories. Storytelling is an integral aspect of building a brand and the sale of products, yet oft we are sucked into the features of a product instead of engaging with customers. As Elayna mentions, people recall stories-driven content 22 times more frequently than when delivered with numbers and facts.

Local seo social media, blogging, and more in the afternoon session

After a break to enjoy an informal picnic lunch, Lissa returned for her scheduled presentation on the benefits of local business blogging. Many local businesses are hesitant to participate in blogging because they aren’t convinced that it can lead to customer acquisition. Lissa dispelled this idea immediately.

As Lissa said, businesses frequently fail when they create blog posts on subjects not relevant to their offerings, such as dental professionals writing blog posts about vampire’s teeth. She demonstrated to participants the benefits of writing blog posts about topics relevant to a business. Also, She showed live data that shows the increase in traffic, which can be experienced when you publish blogs, and how it can increase the position within search results pages. It also increases keyword quantity in searches and increases conversion rates.

Next followed then the Social Media Day Panel. The panel was moderated by Fred Campos of DFW Website Designers Panelists, including Sarah Ciociola of PCG Digital, Robin Moss of ribbit, and Tanya Smith of getting Noticed With Video. The panelists at Rocks Digital celebrate Social Media Day each year and review the latest methods to use paid and free social media strategies. The panelists shared a variety of suggestions, including the reasons you should be active on TikTok. Above all, the most important thing to remember was the importance of consistent behavior in all your activities with social media.

The participants took 30 minutes to network and chat with the exhibitors. Networking is one of the countless advantages of attending an in-person event. Most people who attend the Rocks Digital Marketing Conference go home with various new business connections. Alongside networking, participants were also served brownies, cookies, and fresh fruit displays.

In the afternoon, the attendees enjoyed an extra reward. The award-winning writer Dean Lindsay gifted each attendee with two of his books, “Big goals for PHAT” and “Progress Leaders: Tell the World No to Change Management.” You must have seen the crowd of people gathered around his table at the exhibitor.

Following the break, the conference resumed with the presentation of Clint Butler of Digitale. The subject included the advanced schema markup. Clint spoke about machine learning, AI – and how the basic schema approach doesn’t allow you to make a mark in a highly competitive marketplace. In the discussion of the importance of keyword research and content creation, The significance of clusters of keywords was one of the main topics.

James Loomstein of Rogue Marketing was then a guest speaker on marketing as a growth driving force behind new business. The presentation offered an outline for agencies to employ when developing marketing direction with their clients. James states that when businesses claim they’re having a problem with their marketing, it is important to recognize that marketing is part of the larger system, and it’s first necessary to figure out what’s wrong.

Seconding with a keynote showcase of marketing

As the conference neared its conclusion, Rocks Digital assembled an impressive panel of seven speakers for a keynote display. The aim was to allow each speaker to share one thing that they believe can be a positive impact on their company or client’s business.

3 Stress-Free Ways Business Leaders Can Beat Tax Anxiety

Do you suffer from tax-related anxiety? (Is the Pope Catholic?) There’s no need to worry. There are so many who suffer from overwhelming fear or concern regarding their tax

returns as well as their tax bill. IRS, which is why Psychology Today created a word that describes the problem called erotophobia. It’s not just naive anxiety; many individuals are sifting through bureaucratic complexities regarding their taxes and other governmental obstacles.

Sometimes, the expectation is greater than the fact. Many worry about being in jail, and Credit Karma reported that only 0.9 per cent of businesses were reported because of the purpose of an IRS audit (excluding the returns of S-corporations). In the absence of any anxiety about audits, let’s look at why businesses suffer from tax stress and review some tips to assist you in preparing and filing your taxes. You’ll also learn to avoid the dangers of putting off filing your taxes so that costly tax penalties don’t snare your business.

Tax season is full of confusion, cash, and pressures. More than half of Americans (47 percent) worry when they receive any communication from the IRS; almost three-quarters of Americans (29 percent) are worried about being subject to audits. However, it doesn’t have to be this way! There are three methods to ease the stress of tax time and reach a state that is “tax zen.”

3 Stress-Free Ways Business Leaders Can Beat Tax Anxiety

1. Review your finances and your feelings.

Consider this question: What aspects of tax season do you fear? What steps can you take to manage and reduce your anxiety? Here are some ideas:

Keep track of your money flow. Knowing how much money you have coming in and out each month is a great method to reduce anxiety.

* Understand your overhead costs. When you review your financial statements, keep track of the business overhead items (labour software subscriptions, transportation, inventory) and what you spend on personal items. When you separate, the expenses will allow you to determine what fees you can deduct as a business expense.

Make sure you know when sales tax is due if you’re in online sales. The state determines the filing frequency you reside in, which can be due each year, every quarter or even weekly. Set a date for the sales tax when it is due to save yourself penalties and interest due to late filing. Pay attention to the self-employment tax when you’re the sole proprietor. I’ve noticed that putting aside 30 per cent of your earnings to pay taxes can provide leaders with peace of mind regarding the end-of-the-year taxes, even if they aren’t sure of the exact amount. You can also reduce some of your expenses.

2. Be aware of your tax landscape.

Tax language can be complicated. Sometimes, it appears confusing, like you’re fighting for your life. However, in reality, you don’t have to be a CPA to know your taxes. Understanding is power and the time to learn about the tax laws is a huge benefit.

Learn about the differences between end-of-month and quarterly taxes. Are you a sole proprietor? You will likely be accountable for tax on income, self-employment taxes, and estimated tax, along with Social Security and Medicare taxes. It is also possible that you will be required to submit the Annual Report or pay a business license cost.

Don’t reinvent the wheel. There are a lot of resources available to help you to get your finances in good order.

3. Sort your bookkeeping into smaller pieces.

Many small-business owners feel overwhelmed when it comes to tax time. Instead of sitting in a chair to review your financials every quarter or waiting till the Federal tax holiday comes around, spend at least an hour or two every week reviewing your financials. It is important to ensure that all your income and expenses are in line with the cash in your account every month, so you don’t face unpleasant surprise expenses. You are giving yourself enough time to check any missing forms and catch any tax mistakes before it’s too late.

It’s usually the most straightforward. What’s the best method to beat the tax season anxiety? Begin early. The better you can get control of your finances throughout the year you will feel less anxious and uncertain when the month of April arrives. With these tools and strategies in your head, you could be able to skip the sweaty palms and be looking towards spring.
