Why Whoopi Goldberg Doesn't Want Anyone to Complete Her

The couple has been divorced three times. However, I believe she’s still single. If someone says to you: “You complete me,’ RUNN!” That’s the title of a book written by Whoopi Goldberg.

It’s among the many wisdom lessons she has learned through a life-long experience and wishes to share with her readers.

I believe that Whoopi Goldberg is not a single person, As I will explain in the following paragraphs. However, she hasn’t spent the entirety of her life in a relationship. She explains:

“I believed that to be normal, and I should get married. Therefore, I got married even knowing that there was something wrong. After that, it didn’t work. I tried again. Then again.”

Whoopi believes you should identify what you’re about and be open with yourself and others. Then, it would be best if you lived the life you believe is the best for you, not live the way others want you to lead or make you feel guilty about it.

Whoopi is also urging you to be able to see those romantic films and songs and commercials, as well as many of them as they are mythologies and fantasy but not actual life. “We believe that these films give us the illusion of hope,” she cautions, “but in reality, they make us believe in false hopes that be a biting blow to us right in the back.” The same goes for love songs. For instance, Whoopi has an answer to the question asked to the Supremes, “Where Would I be without Your Love?” Her answer: “Hopefully, you’re still with me.”

A feature I loved the most about the book was sporadic: Whoopi not only declares that she’s not interested in a relationship but acknowledges that other people do not want to be in it. She also acknowledges that there are other types of relationships and different types of love that are not limited to romantic relationships.

Here are a few of my personal favourites.

On Living Single

Why Whoopi Goldberg Doesn't Want Anyone to Complete Her

“I would like you to realize it’s okay to feel lonely.”

What Whoopi believes is the best thing to be is “…leading yourself to a rewarding life, gaining knowledge and working to improve your profession as well as your family and friends as well as your passions and causes. Instead of sitting in the waiting room waiting for someone to contact you, start developing yourself.”

“The notion that you have to find someone to pair up…makes those who aren’t looking to get married or at a point in their lives have not married feel awful. We ask ourselves, “Am I doing something incorrectly? Why can’t I be wanted by someone else? Why isn’t anyone interested in me?”

“You ought to be able to care for yourself regardless of how big or small. You should be able to be content with yourself.”

Some people prefer to be in a relationship because of reasons like the ones Whoopi mentions, like “I don’t need to engage in conversation with anyone even if I don’t feel like doing so” and “I can listen to my ideas.” She says: “This freedom for me is more valuable than any friendship.”

Wrong Reasons to Couple Up

“People tend to be quick to enter relationships due to the fear that they will never have anyone to call their own, and that’s something to be worried about.”

“No one should ever feel like they need an accomplice to convince people outside that they’re worth it. It’s a good person who knows the person she’s attending the dinner event on her own and can hold herself to.”

If you want a partner “because they’re able to do things for you” or because they’ll take care of your financial needs, that’s not a valid justification. The things you have on your list of the things you’d like to see him be should be equal to them…Take on your responsibility and don’t depend on anyone other than you.”

Similar to men: “Learn to do stuff by yourself.” (And not, to be frank, Whoopi isn’t writing only to straight folks.)

The reason to run when you hear “You are my complete”:

  • “If they can complete you, they may destruct you too.”
  • “It seems as if you don’t have them for yourself.”
  • “The notion that we’re walking around in a half-person, I find it bizarre.”

Don’t get married:

  • “because you’re lonely.”
  • “to show an argument.”
  • “to return a resentment to someone”
  • “because your mother would like you to.”
  • “because you think”, What’s the deal?”

On Bigger, Broader Meanings of Family, Relationships, Love, and Soul Mates

“I am a believer in soulmates, but I don’t believe you must have sexual relations in your relationship with your soulmate or be married to the soul mate…I have four soul mates currently. They are the people to whom I’d give my life. But I don’t want them to be a part of my life in my home. I’m not planning to marry them. They’re married to different people already.”

“…family simply means that you’re related to blood; however, there may be other families better to you, or greater than the one you were born into.”

“One thing people do when they meet their new love is that they disappear…This is not a good thing. It’s great to be in love and retreat into your romantic cave for a few minutes, but you aren’t able to disappear from your friends who have been always there for you. This is high school.”

“…people do not understand that friendships are sometimes the things that last the longest in this world.”

“If you have friends who are dear to you, They are the ones who make your soul complete.”

Is Whoopi Goldberg ‘Single at Heart’?

The people with the status of “single by heart” has the best and most authentic, enjoyable and meaningful lives a single. The idea isn’t widely known as I’d like to see it, so very few people can readily declare that they are in love with someone else. As I listen to what they say about themselves, I sometimes think I know the difference between them.

Take, for instance, this quote from the New York Times from an interview Ana Marie Cox did with Whoopi Goldberg:

Ana Marie Cox: You’ve admitted that, despite getting engaged three times in your life, you’ve only been attracted to someone once. Do you think you are a bit more discerning than others?

Whoopi Goldberg said: No, I’m not really at all. I’m happier on my own. I can spend the time with someone I like, but I’m not trying to stay with someone forever or even live with someone. I don’t want anyone within my home.

Ana Marie Cox: Have you ever felt this way?

Whoopi Goldberg: Yes. We’re the round peg as is marriage, which has a square-shaped hole. It’s not possible to have an unsquared hole, can you?

A couple with three marriages doesn’t appear to be the ideal person to be a single-at-heart. However, the notion that everyone is looking to get married is deeply embedded and is not often questioned, making it more of an idea than a common conviction. Additionally, the traditional way of thinking about marriage can encourage couples to try again if their marriage isn’t successful the first time or even the third. As I wrote in Singled Out:

Consider the way people discuss their relationships that didn’t succeed. “I had too much time,” they say. Or, “I had bad judgment. I can read people better.” Or, “I married for all the wrong reasons in the past. This time, I’ll do the right answer.” These statements and many others share one thing: They ensure the marriage’s special place is secured and secure. When marriages fail to meet expectations, couples don’t blame the institution of marriage or the solitary and invasive manner in which marriage is conducted today. Instead, they and other Americans are looking for something more fixable, like imperfect choices that could be blamed on flawed people, not the institution itself.

Someone like Whoopi Goldberg, who’s tried three times, could have an excellent perception of whether marriage is the best choice for her. She is convinced that it’s not. It’s a round hole. Union is the square peg. She snubs Ana Marie Cox’s suggestion that she’s got a high bar and instead says she’s not concerned.

While there is a lot more research to be conducted, however, the feeling Goldberg that she’s “not at all in the market” in marriage is the essence of what is meant by being single. Other thoughts she has that she’s content in her own home, that she enjoys making decisions about how much time she will spend with a person, and that she doesn’t need to have someone else living in her home is also typical of many who are single. What’s at heart, however, is the underlying, fundamental feeling that single life is the best for you, while married life isn’t.

pools

Have you tried finding the best place to set up an above-ground share? Are you currently seeking to construct swimming on an uneven surface? Effectively, search no further! We’ll take you through the best pools for the uneven ground so you can make the absolute most of your pond-less backyard. As the name suggests, an above-ground share is initiated on the floor rather than being built. This built-inside inside doesn’t indicate that there are no pools for uneven ground. There are many great things about having an above-ground share on a rough surface.

Put depth into your backyard.

If you have an unbelievable stage backyard, you may wonder what excellent an above-ground share would be. While they’re a lot of fun to swim in, Most useful Above Surface Pools for Unlevel surfaces do not have the same “ocean” impact as in-ground pools. They can’t develop the same aesthetic depth that the in-ground share does.

But that doesn’t suggest you have to have an in-ground share if you have an uneven backyard. You can add another depth to your backyard by excavating up to 8 inches under grade. This added depth offers your above-ground share the capability to hold water, even on an uneven surface.

Take advantage of the organic mountain.

Another consideration is the backyard’s slope. If you have a gentle mountain, you can allow your share to remain at the bottom of the hill. This will provide the share additional structural security and support to keep it from caving in. A low mountain is even great to allow your claim to remain on the floor, with the deepest end of the share sitting at or near grade level.

On steeper mountains and mountains, putting your share on stage ground is vital. This may reduce it from caving in a while, still allowing the water to move at a position that is befitting your landscape. Be mindful, however; a high mountain for the share could lead it to tip over.

Appreciate year-round use

With the best type of boat and plumbing, you can create an above-ground share that can be used all year long. This is especially helpful in cooler months when in-ground pools need to be shut for the winter.

Having an above-ground share suggests you do not have to concern yourself with the cool cold weather. You can keep the share start all cold weather carefully without worrying about water freezing inside. If you live in a cool climate, you might want to choose a winterizing kit. These products are created to keep your share from freezing while still keeping it clear.

Put privacy while keeping sightlines.

Maintaining an eye fixed on your children is a parent’s worst nightmare. Worse yet, it is having to complete it from a distance. This is precisely why having a share with a built-in fence is crucial. This fence can be any top you desire, letting you pick just how much privacy you want.

If you do not want to enclose your share, a fence can be a great way to maintain sightlines. This is especially helpful if you build an above-ground share on an uneven surface.

Let’s look at the forms of pools you could have on an uneven ground

There are always several items to remember when looking at the different collections you could have on uneven ground. First, the depth of the water must be consistent. The water can look choppy if you have an above-ground share sitting on a rough surface.

Also, bear in mind your share’s significance and the area it can take up. If you have a small garden, you might not be able to provide an above-ground pool.

The ultimate thing to bear is the kind of boat you’ll need. Some boats are created to remain flat on uneven ground, while others have a built-in mountain to help them stay static.

Conclusion

If you’ve been seeking the best place to set up an above-ground share, you’ve come to the best place. We’ll take you through the different types of above-ground pools, their employees, and how to set them up. With some research and tips, you will be willing to increase the share number.

Enhancement of actuation strain and breakdown strength for dielectric elastomers by using core-shell CNT-Al2O3

Published

on

actuation strain

Abstract

One of the most significant challenges in implementing dielectric elastomer actuators (DEA) in practical applications, such as wearable devices, has been reducing the operating voltage. This study demonstrates that novel dielectric elastomers with intrinsically high integrated performance can use CNT-Al2O3 nanostructures as core shells to create various nanocomposites. These nanocomposites rapidly increase dielectric constants (er) as the loading amount of CNT–Al2O3 fillers increases. However, the elastic modulus and breakdown strength (Eb) vary slightly. The nanocomposite’s dielectric constant and actuation coefficient increase by more than 200% when incorporating 0.9 wt% CNT–Al2O3 fillers. However, the breakdown strength is still above 65 V/mm. The actuation strain of the 0.9 wt% Composite is 200% greater than that of pristine DEA at the same driving voltage. The required driving voltage for the actuator made from CNT-Al2O3 composite nanostructure-based composite is only half of that for pristine DEA. The system achieves a balance between a high er and high Eb and stable Y. This can ensure high actuation stress under a low driving field and stable stiffness. It also improves safety for DEA. The tunable electromechanical sensitivities are extensive, and the prepared nanocomposites can be used to make smart devices that integrate various strain components.

Graphical abstract

This study shows that dielectric elastomers modified with CNT-Al2O3 nanostructures can achieve a balance between high dielectric constant, high break strength, and stable elastic modulus. This can ensure a high actuation strain with a low driving field, stable stiffness, and improved safety for DEA.

What is a Hairline Lowering Transplant Procedure?

Hair loss happens in many ways, caused by many factors. Hair loss that happens on the forehead causes what is known as a receding hairline.

This form of hair loss pushes the hairline up the scalp, making the forehead look large. As one of the facial features, the forehead needs to look proportional. You must undergo a hairline lowering transplant if you suffer from a hair loss that makes your forehead look big.

This minimally invasive hair restoration procedure involves covering part of the exposed forehead with graft hair. The graft hair is often harvested from the back of the scalp, where hair loss hardly happens.

A hairline lowering transplant offers the best hair restoration procedure to rectify and improve the size and shape of the hairline.

In women, a receding hairline is often caused by various issues, including hairstyles that tend to pull it and strain hair follicles, causing hair loss. Once the hair follicles are damaged, they can no longer produce hair.

This makes the forehead look relatively larger than usual. If you are affected by this hair loss, you can quickly get a hairline lowering transplant that effectively eliminates a receding hairline.

How is a HLT Done?

A hairline lowering transplant procedure is done by a professional hair restoration surgeon at Beverly Hills Hair Restoration clinic.

The aim of the hairline lowering transplant is to harvest enough hair follicles from the sides or the back of the scalp and transfer them to the forehead area.

This is the area that is experiencing thinning hair that is causing a receding hairline. The surgeon will use the FUE hair extraction technique to remove graft hairs. FUE stands for follicular unit extraction.

FUE works effectively with the hairline lowering transplant surgery because it allows the surgeon to harvest individual hair grafts.

A punch-like tool that cuts around each follicular unit enables the surgeon to customize the final results of the hairline lowering transplant.

The process is done under local anesthesia so the patient won’t feel any pain or discomfort. FUE hair transplant works incredibly well because it does not leave a linear scar, unlike the FUT or FUSS procedures.

HLT Cost

Being a cosmetic procedure, hairline lowering transplant is not covered by most health insurance. If you intend to undergo the hairline lowering transplant, you should be ready to pay for it off-pocket. You will probably learn about hairline lowering transplant costs in the initial consultation.

Various factors will affect the cost of having a hairline lowering transplant. The skill set of the hair transplant surgeon and how advanced the receding hairline is are among the factors that often affect hairline lowering transplant cost.

The cost of having the hairline lowering transplant at Beverly Hills Hair Restoration clinic ranges from $5,000 to $20,000. This often depends on the number of hair follicles necessary to make the procedure successful and the patient’s hair restoration goals.

You must ensure that you have extensively consulted with your surgeon about hairline lowering transplant costs before the procedure. This helps to avoid misunderstandings afterward.

Hairline Lowering Transplant Results

Once you have had the hairline lowering transplant at Beverly Hills Hair Restoration Clinic, you should expect natural-looking results.

This will happen in about 12 months. The transplanted hair will have to fall out first, allowing new hair strands to grow. What makes a hairline lowering transplant great is getting rid of receding hairline once and for all. Once you have had it, you won’t have to undergo follow-up treatments like other procedures.
